Anthony Preischel PhD
AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, CSAT, LMHC-D,
When people first contact me, they are often experiencing one of the most difficult periods of their lives.
Some have discovered an affair and are struggling to make sense of the betrayal. Others are caught in a cycle of pornography use, compulsive sexual behavior, secrecy, and shame that is damaging their relationships and self-esteem. Many are couples who once felt deeply connected but now find themselves trapped in conflict, disconnection, resentment, and loneliness.
In these moments, it is easy to feel overwhelmed, hopeless, or unsure of where to turn. My role is to help you understand what is happening, why it is happening, and what steps can lead to meaningful and lasting change.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in infidelity recovery, betrayal trauma, sex addiction, pornography addiction, sexual health concerns, and couples counseling. Unlike many therapists who treat a broad range of issues, I have intentionally focused my practice on relationship, intimacy, and compulsive sexual behavior concerns. This specialization allows me to provide focused, expert care for individuals and couples facing challenges that require a deeper level of understanding and training.
My approach is both compassionate and direct. I believe therapy should provide more than support—it should provide insight, practical tools, accountability, and a clear path forward. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Reality Therapy, and sex therapy interventions to help clients identify patterns, improve communication, rebuild trust, and create healthier relationships.
I have completed extensive advanced training in relationship therapy, sexual health, infidelity recovery, and compulsive sexual behavior treatment. My specialty allows me to address topics that many people find difficult to discuss, including pornography addiction, sex addiction, intimacy concerns, sexual dysfunction, betrayal trauma, and relationship repair. Clients often tell me that having a therapist who understands these issues in depth helps them feel understood, supported, and hopeful for the first time in a long time.
I believe that people are far more resilient than they often realize. Even when relationships have been damaged by betrayal, addiction, years of disconnection, or repeated conflict, healing is possible. While therapy cannot change the past, it can help you understand it, learn from it, and create a different future.
Whether you are seeking help as an individual or as a couple, my goal is to provide a supportive environment where meaningful change can occur and where you can build the life and relationships you truly want.
The decision to seek therapy takes courage. If you're ready to take that next step, I would be honored to help.
